Robot Rage Color codes

I tested every single color in Robot Rage with color detector and temp folder and here is the result(only 1st character decides the color, but for some reason not every color had 2 character code...) for example 10th and 11th color in 1st line are the same on robot, but have different HEX codes, and looking further multiple colors don't have a code to be placed on robot at all...
Robot Rage color codes remind me off gif image bytes... Hope this info helps someone build a tool to copy images on the robot.

Hard part about it is to turn image into code like RR has, I've found a way to encode gif image into binary VBS, and image can be created back with vb script like this:

(Some of the characters may not work, since they are special characters). I was working on a program in Visual Basic to convert the HEX codes.

I am also impressed. I did some programming of myself back in the day. On the ZX-Spectrum,
the first home pc able to produce colors (the rival of Commodore 64) It went something like
this.

10 go to 20
20 color 33/ go to 30
30 go to 10

and then the screen would flash

Just edited the code so that it wouldn't run off the page

Hex editor let's me get something similar to the code we need, any ideas how to extract only middle column of the text?

P.S I am talking about Bits column if someone doesn't know where the middle is

Save image as 256 color bmp with paint, then view it's code with hex editor, copy code into notepad,

afterwards copy the code into MS excel, split it into columns, copy "bit" column into MS word, reduce

character amount to 48556 by removing part of front code(not paint code, but extension description) and

unneeded spaces, then copy code into notepad again and replace trash pixel codes that appear in end of

each of 244 lines and then code is ready to be copied on the robot!


In MS word to remove extra paragraph brakes replace ^p with nothing...
In notepad replace 2 last pixels of each line with only pixel that is 1 spot from the last.
I did pretty good with black and white images, but their color on the robot wasn't the same as the input

image had for some reason...

It might be possible to match, for each pixel of any image (which can be loaded from your computer), to select the closest HEX value (true HEX values, not RR color codes) on RR's palette. Have you written this as a program, in VB or elsewhere? Or has this been done manually?

Here's tool I use to encode image into it's bit code:

Then select option of HEX editor and click encode...
Then open up output text file and it will have code I mentioned 2 my posts earlier...

Maybe someone knows how to change image into bits code without any trash code, that would reduce amount of steps and time required...

Don't worry, I know how to send messages directly to the server. I am writing a program in Visual Basic as we speak, we'll see what happens.

Imposter was made by Nabil, I am pretty sure it's similar to what Carl is doing at the moment.

I was able to decompile it, though I already have a program that expanded it to load up all of a robot's info.
