REPUTATION

As you can see, we now have a reputation system.

To use it, all you need to do is use the - or + next to the post (similar to RR ). The + gives more reputation, and the - gives less.

There is also a "Thanks" button that could use some editting to fit with the others.
I don't know what the "Thanks" button does, though... I think it also gives reputation.

ehm, i can see the reputation counter, however i cannot see the +/- buttons in the upper right corner.

They are in the upper right corner of the posts... not the whole top right screen.

If you've did what IGIT already suggested, then you should delete your browsing history, and retry. If that doesn't work, I suggest taking it to East.

Hmm... IGIT had the same problem as both of you and managed to solve it by himself...
(closing and opening).... but, I suggest deleting history, restarting computer, and if that
doesn't work, you may want to talk to East and see if there is anything he can do.

I have tried it from like 6 different web browsers, deleting browsing history, cache and restarting computer...East has probably disabled this option for me or just not enabled...
I can sometimes see something like this though:

I don't know what the green thing is... though, that is EXACTLY where the -/+ should appear.

Look at the right side of the page under each "REPORT" button you should see +/-.

Please do not abuse the reputation system because it is a gift from East, and should be taken seriously.

Misusing it would be similar to:
1. Giving negative reputation to someone who you dislike.
2. Making alt accounts to higher your reputation.
3. Dileberately trying to make someone else's post look bad and getting it negative repped.
4. Trolling/flaming with a user to make them overreact.


*Your reputation on this forum is a "summary" of your natural character. If you are mean, your reputation will be lower, it nice, higher.
*You should take your reputation seriously as this is no joking matter... meaning: care about your reputation because if it is low, people mey not like you.


*NOTE* If you have anything to add to this post, please tell me in private and I will add it (to reduce the spam), but your name will be included, giving you full credit to that.

Only a very devious person can even think of these tactics ...

I just learned that someone voted my rep down 2 points in the last 2 days .. I am not gonna give any names, it starts with N and ends with oobface .. I know I didn't spam in the last week, in fact, I was buisy cleaning up accidental doubleposts from the past. I think we can pretty much disregard this reputation tool allready East, however fine the idea was. People apparently can't be trusted to be fair (even when they point this very thing out to us themselves ! Amazing .. but true .. see quotation above) Anyone who has some grudge against someone else will find a flaw in some post and press the minus button, especially when they can do it anonimously. It's like telling Rambo: " here, you can have this super jumbo shotgun but .. you can't shoot anyone with it okay " I don't mean no disrespect to anyone and I am not gonna do the same childish thing, I will vote [ - ] when I have a real reason but I am not going to keep myself from expressing my real opinion in fear that someone is going to not like it. What good would that do to a forum ? So here you go


Summary: Noobface, you warn everyone to not abuse the reputation tool and the first thing you do is .. abuse it. sigh

I don't know if you see it or not.... but give me a picture of someone else's post. I am asking for that because you cannot give yourself reputation, so you wouldn't be able to see it on your own posts.

This is exactly why they disabled reputation on the MC forums... maybe it would be better if you could only rep up?
